MAIN CALL TO ACTION
Raleigh is a beautiful historic city that is growing more and more in the most diverse and amazing ways. There is ample space and opportunity for responsibly and equitably to a wide variety of residents and businesses. The fear is that the rich and historic legacy of all its communities may not be considered in the vision of the future of this great city. I envision a city that is committed to inclusive, innovative and progressive growth that includes preserving the historic legacy of District C and ensures every resident has an equal opportunity to thrive in its future. I believe that as the city develops we must also develop smart infrastructure that considers the people, the city workers and essential workers that help make up the important elements that keep the city moving forward. I know that District C is ready for a fresh perspective in leadership and approach to finding solutions to its many opportunities and obstacles. I want to bring that fresh perspective and represent District C on the Raleigh City Council with leadership my constituents can believe in. Let's move Raleigh forward together.

Platform
Transportation
As our transit system enhances with new programs like the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) to support the increase in residents, we must ensure public transportation is safe and stable for all riders with content operators in our system. This includes transportation centered infrastructure development to sustain its growth responsibility to the environment and community.
Equitable Economic Development
Raleigh is growing and needs new housing to ease displacement and ensure affordability. We need to reassess the measurements we're using to determine affordability to make sure we are actually addressing the issue, consider innovative housing solutions and focus citywide when considering the need for density to meet the need. As the city grows it should provide opportunities for its residents to benefit in the economic development.
Engagement
Our idea of engagement has to consider our youth and young adults in and after school. Youth engagement is an integral factor in their personal development and helps to keep them and the community safer. I would advocate for more collaboration and resource allocation to outside organizations with mentoring, tutoring, reentry and workforce development programming to help create a pipeline to secondary education school and careers.
Affordability
I believe Raleigh must pay its city workers a living wage and work to provide housing opportunity options close to where they work. The vision for the future of this city must include those we considered Essential when we needed them most during COVID. Those "Essential" workers need housing options that meet their affordability. Prioritizing mixed income can provide a solution to our diverse need for housing. There is also naturally occuring affordability in the city that we need to work to maintain.
